 An hour of magical ballet - perfect for wannabe Angelinas everywhere! January 6, 2010

We bought this for our 3 1/2 year old for Christmas. She is a big Angelina fan and has just started ballet lessons. This hour-long performance is shot at a 'live' performance and as such there is some audience/ background noise (which I found detracted from it slightly).
However the score (which dips into 'Sleeping Beauty') is beautiful and the choreography and costumes are wonderful. Put it all together and you have an hours worth of blissful ballet, which, although it is a bit too long for a young child to sit through, had my daughter and her friend up and dancing around the living room copying the ballerinas!!

recorded live on tour. how fab that enb has brought angelina to life. especially for young children, it is a wonderful introduction to the world of ballet. so pretty! i wish that i'd had this as a child,sadly dvd's were not around then.i hope they follow this dvd up with their second angelina production - angelina ballerinas big audition.

If you can't get to see the English Ballet (which we couldn't) this is definitely the next best thing. My girls (aged 4) love it. Lots of the orginal Sleeping Beauty ballet music so a good introduction to the full ballet, but cut down and made into to a Angelina story.
This seems to be the same as on the English Ballet site for £15, so great value as well.
Note this is the video of the last production not the current production I think - you might want to check.
